I feel like I’ve been walking naked around New York City for the decade I’ve been online! It just isn’t safe to browse without a VPN. If you don’t know what one is, don’t worry. Honestly, I couldn’t explain the technical details of it to you! But I know what it’s doing for me, and it’s a must-have.
Why Cyberghost VPN is Needed?
I’m not the most tech-savvy gal on the block; I don’t use the computer much for work, other than some word processing and spreadsheets. I have been using internet for quite a while, mostly for email, movie and music downloads, and social networking. Like most, I’ve always assumed that my internet browsing was private and safe because anything confidential that I do is on a password-protected site.
Boy oh boy, I was wrong! Browsing the internet is NOT SAFE.
I got my identity stolen a little over a year ago, and it was an absolute disaster. My bank reimbursed me for the money I lost, and apparently, there was some investigation (though I never found out exactly what happened), but it was a considerable inconvenience, embarrassment, and shock. My sense of online security was utterly false.
I just couldn’t believe it. I found out when trying to purchase with my debit card, and my card got declined. It was humiliating, and confusing because I knew there was money on my account. It turns out there weren’t because someone stole every penny.
The bank said that identity theft happens all the time, and is more and more common every year—because of the internet! My bank told me that anyone who goes online is vulnerable to identity theft. Even sites that claim to be secure can be broken into by hackers and other internet criminals. These people are growing in number. This is stuff a young boy could do! It’s so easy for them to access any of your information if you don’t have a VPN.
I asked my friend who knows more about these things than I do what he thought I should do. He asked if I had a VPN and was surprised that I hadn’t even heard of them before. He said they were the only way to prevent future identity theft and to browse safely. It turns out that there are so many people who could see everything I was doing online, from bad guys to the government.
That made me feel sick! I’m a private person. I don’t do anything wrong online, but what I do isn’t anyone’s business. These people can get ahold of your search history, look through your downloads, and see virtually everything else you do online. I trusted my friend and told him I’d get whichever service he thought was best.

My friend suggested Cyberghost VPN, and I couldn’t be happier with the service. There’s a free version, which I’m sure is excellent, but I chose the Premium Plus plan because I wanted to use it on my laptop, phone, and tablet, and this program allows me to use the service on up to five devices. The price of this product is nothing considering the amount of safety I feel when using the internet any of my devices.
I was worried that, given how much these things do, I was going to have to shell out a hundred bucks or more a month. Instead, it’s about as much as a muffin and a cup of coffee. And this is an excellent service! I don’t understand much about servers or “protocols,” but I do know that the Cyberghost VPN plan I’m on has high security according to my friend who initially suggested it, and security is what you’re looking for in a VPN.

With Cyberghost VPN, I leave no trail on the internet whatsoever. Not only am I protecting myself from identity theft, but I’m also making sure that my other activity isn’t being spied on by anyone. I download torrents occasionally, just a song here and there or sometimes a movie if I’m going on a trip and have to sit on a plane for hours.
I’m not an ordinary criminal; I just don’t think that I should have to pay for these things when I can get them for free (and pay when I want to support the artist). Downloading without a VPN is how people get caught doing this, and people like me end up in the middle of massive lawsuits or paying massive fines for one song or movie. That’s absurd and probably very expensive, so I’m glad to know m protected.
The friend who got me on Cyberghost VPN told me that I had to use it on my phone and tablet because the WiFi hotspots I often use are entirely unsafe. I try not to use data when I don’t have to (especially now that my carrier doesn’t offer an unlimited data plan), so it’s essential to have Cyberghost VPN on my portable devices.
Another bonus: Some countries don’t allow me to log into my Netflix, but with Cyberghost VPN I can log in from anywhere when I’m traveling. That’s a great feature!
Finally, Cyberghost VPN is super secure to use. I was able to configure it with no assistance whatsoever and, as I mentioned, I’m not very tech savvy. The support website is excellent, and I have found the answer to almost all of my questions without having to put in a support ticket. When I have needed to contact support, they’ve always gotten back to me within a day. I think the site promises 48 hours, but it’s still been much less than that for me. The customer service folks are friendly and helpful, and never make me feel stupid for asking a simple question.
I appreciate this and have noticed that a lot of companies don’t seem to care at all about customer service now that everything is online. That makes me so sad, but I don’t have to deal with it when I’m using my VPN! It honestly just makes such a difference to deal with someone friendly rather than condescending.
I really couldn’t be happier with this product, am so glad I have a VPN now, am a satisfied (and safe) customer, and give Cyberghost VPN an A+! I recommend this product to anyone who doesn’t want to feel naked online!
